A disability and benefits insurer says it thinks it will do well this year.

Unum Group Corp., Chattanooga, Tenn., is reaffirming earlier forecasts that it will generate about $2.45 to $2.55 in operating profits per share this year.

Unum also is sticking to earlier predictions that it will end the year with about $750 million in liquidity, or access to cash and cash equivalents.
