A unit of Ebix Inc. says it believes it now is processing about half of all annuity business involving U.S. full-service brokers.
ExbixExchange, Herndon, Va., says volume at its AnnuityNet annuity order processing system increased to an annualized level of about $35 billion at the end of 2008, up from $21 billion in 2007.
