The state of Connecticut has agreed to use UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits to provide dental coverage for employees, retirees and dependents for 3 more years.
The renewal affects a plan with about 150,000 participants, according to UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits, Golden Valley, Minn., a unit of UnitedHealth Group Inc., Minnetonka, Minn.
Another united of UnitedHealth, UnitedHealthcare Medical/Oxford, has a contract to provide medical coverage for Connecticut employees and retirees until July 31, 2011.
