A nonprofit group has launched a national effort to help uninsured Americans find and apply for health coverage programs.
The CoverMe Foundation, Laramie, Wyo., has set up an English-language hotline at (877) 678-7631 and a Spanish-language hotline at (877) 828-2736.
The hotlines offer information about prescription assistance programs and medical treatment programs as well as health coverage programs.
A foundation affiliated with WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, is backing the program with a $2.5 million grant.
