Principal Financial Group Inc. has developed a system that can help employee benefit plan participants identify retirement savings shortfalls and other financial weaknesses.
The My Principal Edge Milestones system can be used either through the Web or at the worksite, according to Principal, Des Moines, Iowa.
The system generates a personalized action plan.
Principal tested the system on 68,000 benefit plan participants in 2007, and those participants ended up taking about 40,000 benefit plan actions, Principal says.
