The board of Coventry Health Care Inc. has agreed to spend the cash needed to buy up more of the company's common stock.
The board of Coventry, Bethesda, Md., increased the number of shares the company can buy 5%, to 9.9 million shares of the 151 million common shares now outstanding.
Coventry has a total market capitalization, or stock value, of about $6.6 billion.
