A managed care company is trying to increase its appeal to globetrotters.
Health Net Inc., Woodland Hills, N.J., says it has added toll-free telephone access to its customer service operation in 135 countries, through an arrangement with AT&T Corp., Bedminster, N.J.
Health Net also has arranged with First Health Group Corp., Downers Grove, Ill., to provide the equivalent of in-network preferred provider access for members traveling throughout the United States.
