The Council for Affordable Health Insurance has picked J. Michael Davis to be 2008-2009 chairman.

Davis is an executive at MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company, a unit of HealthMarkets Inc., North Richland Hills, Texas.

Other 2008-2009 officers of CAHI include David Hill, treasurer; Kendall Surfass, secretary; Jeff Burman, vice chairman; Richard Collins, vice chairman and immediate past chairman; and Mark Litow, vice chairman.

CAHI is a nonprofit health insurance policy group.
