An industry group is pushing for official recognition of November as Long Term Care Awareness Month.
The American Association for Long Term Care Insurance, Westlake Village, Calif., is campaigning to get an LTC Awareness Month presidential proclamation.
In 2007, the AALTCI succeeded at shepherding an LTC Awareness Month resolution through the U.S. House of Representatives and at persuading some state governors to designate the first week in November as Long Term Care Awareness Week.
