A 2-day fund-raising effort by the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies drew more than $130,000 in contributions, the group announced

The association, Fairfax, Va. raised the money for its NAILBA Charitable Foundation through auctions and the giveaway of a 1957 Chevy Bel Air convertible during NAILBA 26, its recent conference in Orlando, Fla.

So far this year, the foundation gave $250,000 to 18 charities, NAILBA reports.
