A foundation affiliated with Medica Health Plans has awarded a total of $400,000 in grants for 13 projects.

Medica, Minneapolis, a nonprofit health maintenance organization, says the foundation awarded $250,000 for 8 behavioral health projects and $150,000 for 5 chronic disease management projects.

The biggest grants, for $50,000 each, went to a Minneapolis school mental health program and a program that provides support services for adults who suffer from serious behavioral health problems.
