EHealth Inc. is experimenting with helping residents of a city in China buy life, health and accident insurance through the Web.
EHealth, Mountain View, Calif., operates the eHealthInsurance.com Web site in the United States.
EHealth says a subsidiary in China, eHealth China (Xiamen) Technology Company Ltd., has launched a pilot program to market insurance online in China's Fujian province. The subsidiary will start by setting up a Web insurance shopping program for residents of one city in Fujian, Xiamen, at Document Link
The site offers a menu of 25 insurance plans, eHealth says.
