A health insurer is offering to help group benefits customers measure the effects of health problems.
Aetna Inc., Hartford, says its new Aetna Integrated Health Solution program will provide a new series of reports that will include data on direct health claim costs and also estimate indirect costs resulting from disability and absenteeism.
Aetna will start by sending the reports to large and midsize employers that offer a combination of Aetna medical coverage and Aetna disability coverage.
