Healthways International GmbH has announced it has a 3-year agreement to provide chronic disease health care programs to members of a large German health care insurer.
Healthways International, a division of Healthways Inc., Nashville, Tenn., will provide chronic disease treatment programs to members of Deutsche Angestellten Krankenkasse, Hamburg, in Bavaria and Baden-Wurttemberg beginning Jan. 1.
The agreement is Healthways' first international contract. Under its terms, it will provide health support and chronic disease management services to around 50,000 patients with heart disease and respiratory conditions.
