Aetna Inc. will expand its Aexcel specialist network in January 2008.
Aetna, Hartford, says the markets coming into the program will be Colorado; Delaware; Kansas City, Kan.; Kansas City, Mo.; and Pittsburgh.
Aetna says it developed the Aexcel network by choosing physicians in 12 specialties, such as general surgery and obstetrics/gynecology, who provide good, efficient care.
The Aexcel network program is now available in 31 markets, Aetna says.
