AvMed Inc. will be using the iHealth system to offer health plan members electronic personal health records.
The iHealth system was developed by Medem Inc., San Francisco, a group formed by the American Medical Association, Chicago, and other medical groups to develop electronic systems for exchanging patient information.
AvMed, Miami, will begin offering the iHealth record system this spring, the company says.
