Nationwide Health Plans has hired HealthPlan Services Inc. to generate quotes for its health plans, underwrite applicants, process claims, take customer calls and handle other support services.
NHP, Dublin, Ohio, is a unit of National Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio, that sells comprehensive health insurance plans and other health-related insurance products in Ohio and California.
HealthPlan Services, Tampa, Fla., will be opening offices in Columbus and Sacramento, Calif., to support NHP's operations, the companies say.
