Care Focused Purchasing Inc. has hired a vendor to help it evaluate the care 20 million Americans are getting from their doctors.
Care Focused, an employer consortium organized by Mercer Human Resource Consulting L.L.C., New York, has selected Resolution Health Inc., Columbia, Md., to analyze claims data from insurers, employers and benefit plan administrators.
Carriers and benefit plan administrators that have agreed to provide data include Aetna Inc., Hartford; CIGNA Corp., Philadelphia; Fiserv Inc., Brookfield, Wis.; Humana Inc., Louisville, Ky.; Preferred Care, Rochester, N.Y.; the Regence Group, Portland, Ore.; and WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis.
The large employers that back Care Focused will contribute claims records for 2 million members of their own self-insured plans, according to Care Focused.
