NU Online News Service, April 21, 2003, 4:55 p.m. EDT – Sun Life Financial, Wellesley Hills, Mass., says its U.S. group insurance division will offer service guarantees to employers that buy its short-term disability insurance programs.
The guarantees will cover the speed and accuracy of claims processing, call-center response times, and overall satisfaction.
If the company fails to meet its service standards, an employer can ask for the refund of a portion of its premiums for insurance or fees for administrative support services.
