NU Online News Service, March 5, 2003, 11:02 a.m. EDT – Independence Holding Company, Stamford, Conn., is reporting $3.5 million in net income for the fourth quarter of 2002 on $42 million in revenue, up from $3.4 million in net income on $39 million in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2001.
Independence sells life insurance, health insurance, employer medical stop-loss coverage and other products through subsidiaries such as Standard Security Life Insurance Company of New York and Madison National Life Insurance Company Inc.
