NU Online News Service, Feb. 18, 3:57 p.m. – LabOne Inc., Lenexa, Kan., is reporting $4.4 million in net income for the fourth quarter of 2002 on $78 million in revenue, compared with $1.4 million in net income on $70 million in revenue for the fourth quarter of 2001.
LabOne provides traditional medical test processing services along with laboratory testing services for life insurers and employers.
Revenue from a unit that serves life insurance underwriting operations increased 8%, to $55 million.
Revenue from traditional medical testing services increased 31%, to $17 million.
