NU Online News Service, April 30, 12:03 p.m. – Minnesota Life Insurance Company, St. Paul, Minn., has doubled the number of investment options included in two of its variable annuities.
The MultiOption Achiever and Classic variable annuities now offer investment options from AIM, American Century, MFS, Oppenheimer, and Putnam in addition to the original investment options provided by Advantus, Credit Suisse, Janus, Fidelity, and Franklin Templeton, Minnesota Life says.
Minnesota Life has also added two new style choices: a high-yield option and two balanced portfolios.
Minnesota Life says it is making serious efforts to increase its annuity sales. The company has named Greg Farley to run a new annuity wholesaling unit, Minnesota Life Distributors, and announced plans to staff the new unit with 35 new employees.
