NU Online News Service, Oct. 15, 2:25 p.m. – Private Healthcare Systems Inc., Waltham, Mass., says it has added corporate health plan customers with 75,000 members in the past few weeks.
Private Healthcare develops and rents networks of doctors, hospitals and other health care providers to large health plans. The plans it serves have a total of about 6.5 million members.
The new customers include Carolina Benefit Administrators, Winston-Salem, N.C.; The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Akron, Ohio; Lumenos Inc., Alexandria, Va.; The Mega Life and Health Insurance Company, North Richland Hills, Texas; and UNICARE, a unit of WellPoint Health Networks Inc., Thousand Oaks, Calif.
