NU Online News Service, Sept. 17, 1:45 p.m. – The International Claim Association, Washington, has canceled its 92nd annual meeting, which was going to take place Sept. 23-26 in Seattle, as a result of the Sept. 11 terrorism attacks.

"As claim professionals, our responsibilities are to our policyholders," Karen Newton, the association president, said in a statement. "Our resources are better spent in our offices assisting those who have been affected by this national tragedy."
