Jackson National says it recently named Scott Romine president of Advisory Solutions for Jackson National Life Distributors, the marketing and distribution arm of Jackson. The announcement, according to the firm, is related to its enhanced “commitment to the advisory spaced,” which entails “new leadership, expanded resources and new fee-based product launches.”
Romine returns to JNLD after serving as president and CEO of National Planning Holdings for about two years. Romine worked for Jackson National Life Distributors from 1997 to 2007 and from 2010 to 2016 and is now responsible for building Jackson’s advisory business across the country.
“Scott has a significant amount of experience leading two parts of our distribution business — the broker-dealer industry and our sales organization — making him the perfect visionary to drive our advisory efforts,” said Greg Cicotte, executive vice president and chief distribution officer for Jackson, in a statement. “We are excited to have him back at JNLD, and are confident his skillset and institutional knowledge are exactly what we need to build this new initiative and help our partners adapt to our evolving industry.”
In addition to Romine, Jackson tapped Greg Masucci as senior vice president of National Accounts for JNLD and Tim Munsie as senior vice president of the Advisory Resource Group for JNLD.
In other news, New York Life Investment Management announced that Jac McLean will join the company in June as head of U.S. Distribution. In this newly created role, McLean will focus on “building and leading” the distribution organization and strategy across third-party retail and intermediary channels in the U.S.
