SS&C Technologies Holdings made several announcements on Tuesday regarding its technology offerings.

“Investment management firms are looking for rebalancing tools that optimize the order-creation process and provide an efficient use of time,” Robert Roley, senior vice president and general manager at SS&C Advent, said in a statement. “With Advent Genesis, our customer’s portfolio management staff now have the ability to quickly and easily track and execute on complex trading decisions.”

SS&C also announced on Tuesday that its Geneva technology platform is being updated with a new exception management and workflow tool that will automate data quality assurance processes for financial professionals.

The tool will be able to identify and report data exceptions within a dashboard, giving advisors an easy way to view exceptions. The tool can be customized for a firm’s specific data queries and portfolio classifications.

“Fundamentally, this solution is about increasing efficiency and reducing operational risk for our clients by eliminating manual processes connected to data quality in Geneva,” Roley said. “Effective data management is a key challenge and opportunity for Geneva users, with the need for timely and accurate information only to increase over time.”

SS&C is also releasing a new app, Salentica Elements, on the Salesforce AppExchange to work with its Black Diamond wealth platform. SS&C acquired Salentica in October 2016.

With the app, advisors who use Black Diamond will be able to access daily account, portfolio and household data from the platform; view individual client reports; maintain real-time client relationship information on a unified platform across multiple devices; and create customized workflows.

“Everyone and everything is getting smarter and more connected than ever before, and companies are looking to transform the way they connect with customers, partners and employees,” Kori O’Brien, senior vice president of independent software vendor sales at Salesforce, said in a statement. “By leveraging the power of the Salesforce Platform, SS&C provides clients with an exciting new way to manage client relationships with a turnkey solution built based on best practices for advisory firms.”
