Envestnet | Tamarac announced in mid-August that the Tamarac app is now available on the Salesforce AppExchange, an app marketplace designed for businesses to help them connect with their customers.

Salesforce AppExchange features 3,500 partner apps with over 4 million customers.

The Tamarac app available on the exchange will help advisors integrate client, household and account data from its portfolio management software. Advisors who use Salesforce as their CRM will be able to pull data directly from Tamarac to create new clients and households, and populate customized fields in Salesforce.

“Advisors can lose hours of productivity if their CRM and portfolio reporting applications are not in sync, exponentially increasing the time it takes to enter data between systems and servicing their clients,” Stuart DePina, president of Envestnet | Tamarac, said in a statement. “With this new integration, we’re providing advisors with more choices regarding their CRM platform, while streamlining their regular workflows and enabling them to provide a higher level of service to their investor clients.”

Other benefits for advisors who use both the Tamarac portfolio management platform and the new app include:

  • Streamlined data maintenance through bi-directional data integration to cut down on dual data entry.
  • Control over which data fields are integrated
  • Single-sign-on between the two systems
  • Automatically updated financial accounts
  • Tracked updates to client address and household assignments to audit when data was updated and by whom
  • Compatibility with Salesforce Lightning technology for Sales Cloud and Financial Services Cloud

Kori O’Brien, senior vice president of independent software vendor sales at Salesforce, added, “Everyone and everything is getting smarter and more connected than ever before, and companies are looking to transform the way they connect with customers, partners and employees.”

O’Brien said, “By leveraging the power of the Salesforce Platform, Envestnet | Tamarac provides customers with an exciting new way to deliver a comprehensive and scalable platform for financial advisors.”

Earlier this month, Envestnet | Tamarac announced that it had added single-sign-on capabilities to its platform for advisors who use TD Ameritrade’s Veo One for custody services. Contextual links in the Veo One platform let advisors move between the platforms easily.
