For some financial advisors, an MBA can be a valuable career boost. This advanced degree can be a stepping stone for advisors interested in private banking, high-net-worth relationship management, or wealth management leadership roles.

The Princeton Review’s 2025 list of the best business schools for MBAs in finance comes from a survey of on-campus programs at 213 institutions, which were selected using a combination of factors that included institutional and student survey data: career outcomes, admissions selectivity and academic rigor, among others.

Within that cohort, researchers reported the top 10 business schools for each of 18 categories.

For the finance category, they based their list on school-reported data, including the percent of graduates going into finance and their starting salary. They also based the list on students’ assessments of how well their school is preparing them for a career in finance.

The Princeton Review, a tutoring, test prep and college admissions services company, is not affiliated with Princeton University.
