An employee benefits player is merging its new-case installation and customer service operations.
Assurant Employee Benefits, a unit of Assurant Inc., Kansas City, Mo., says the action will "create a customer advocacy division with responsibility for all non-claims service activities."
The same team will handle a case starting from the time a sale is made, Assurant says.
The teams will be organized by the group sales office, the company says.
