San Francisco Health Plan has chosen Plexis Healthcare Systems Inc., Ashland, Ore., to provide benefits administration services for its Healthy San Francisco program.
San Francisco Health Plan is a city-sponsored health plan providing health insurance to more than 50,000 San Franciscans and is a third party administrator for the city Department of Public Health's new Healthy San Francisco plan.
The City and County of San Francisco created SFHP to provide medical care to low-income San Franciscans. Its Health San Francisco members have a choice of more than 2,300 primary care providers and specialists, 6 hospitals and 100 pharmacies.
Plexis Claims Manager, a claims management technology program, will provide premium billing and receivables management to SFHP.
