Life settlement industry veterans have joined to form 4Pluris L.L.C., a company that will create products that institutions can use to invest in mortality risk.
Lawrence Brown, the chairman of 4Pluris, Bethesda, Md., is a co-founder of Stone Street Financial Inc., Bethesda, a company that later became Maple Life Financial Inc.
Brown has a bachelor's degree in business from American University. He serves on the board of the American Jewish Committee, New York.
The other 4Pluris founders are Ryan Young and Robert Haran.
