MEGA Life and Health Insurance Company has started selling high-deductible, health savings account-compatible individual and family health insurance in the Yellowhammer State.
The new CareOne Select HSA plan offers access to detailed, provider-specific health care price databases, according to MEGA's parent company, HealthMarkets Inc., North Richland Hills, Texas.
MEGA also helps consumers shop for care by having every hospital bill for over $10,000 reviewed for errors and overcharges.
HealthMarkets' MEGA unit already has introduced the CareOne Select HSA program in Michigan and Texas.
