A large managed care company is making hospital services price information available to more of customers.
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has started offering its Care Comparison Web tool to 2 million members in Cincinnati; central Indiana; Lexington, Ky.; and Louisville, Ky.
Anthem, a unit of WellPoint Inc., Indianapolis, introduced the tool in Dayton, Ohio, in September 2006.
The service provides estimates for items such as lab test fees and recovery room charges.
