Bankers Life and its parent, CNO Financial Group, have raised $424,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association through this year’s Forget Me Not Days campaign.
Bankers Life — a company that still offers long-term care insurance, along with life insurance, annuities and supplemental health insurance products — and CNO increased the total from $332,000 in 2020.
The total also is up from $369,000 in 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.
Researchers reported in Health Affairs in June that the COVID-19 death rate for Medicare enrollees suffering from dementia is about 32%.
Bankers Life and CNO have been mounting the Forget Me Not campaigns for 19 straight years. The campaigns support efforts to fight Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia.
