Here are the latest developments of interest to advisors:

1) Fidelity Launches Global Real Estate Fund

Fidelity Investments launched the Fidelity Advisor Global Real Estate Fund (FWRAX), which is designed to invest in U.S. and international real estate securities and is managed by Steve Buller.

The launch was timed to coincide with a key change in S&P 500 sector categories: the emergence of real estate as its own standalone sector after years of inclusion in the financials sector, starting September 19. The fund has a net expense ratio of 1.4%.

2) iSectors Launches Growth ETF

iSectors, LLC launched the iSectors Post-MPT Growth ETF (PMPT), which is actively managed and aims to optimize investor return and minimize downside risk.

PMPT invests in nine low-correlated asset classes, including basic materials, bonds, energy, financials, gold, healthcare, real estate, technology and utilities. It has a net expense ratio of 1.55%.

3) Franklin Square Capital Partners Consolidates Brands

Franklin Square Capital Partners is consolidating its brands under FS Investments. The firm’s name is now FS Investments and its affiliated broker-dealer, FS Capital Partners, is FS Investment Solutions.

FS now precedes the names of the firm’s investment funds, as well as its comanaged operating company, FS OneEquity.

4) Efficient Advisors, Gladstone Associates Form Strategic Partnership

Efficient Advisors and Gladstone Associates have formed a strategic partnership in which EA’s advisors will have access to the Gladstone Analytics software suite of assessments and tools.

Gladstone Analytics software provides the means to gauge a practice’s health and to grade firms on their business stability, client stability and overall market risk, then act to improve the firm’s value.

5) Vanare, Redtail Launch Integration for Account Opening

Wealth management technology platform Vanare and customer relationship management solution provider Redtail Technology launched an integration that will allow Vanare users to sync client contact information directly from their Redtail CRM.

The integration is available through Vanare’s NestEgg, a white-labeled robo-advisor that digitizes a firm’s investment philosophy, and Spark, Vanare’s online account opening platform.
