Bank of America Merrill Lynch was busy in recruiting, with the addition of a former Morgan Stanley team, and also made some changes to its leadership teams.
Financial advisors Jeremy Newton and Stephen Lamb joined Merrill’s Houston office, along with team financial advisors Sean McCullough and Laura Philmon, also from Morgan Stanley, and John Yambao, from Wells Fargo.
The Newton Lamb Group will report to Hong Ogle, managing director and market executive. Newton and Lamb had more than $330 million of client assets under management with $2.5 million in production last year.
Newton began his career at Merrill Lynch in 2000, but left in 2008 to open an office for Morgan Stanley in downtown Houston. Lamb started at Morgan Stanley in 1984 and held numerous roles before also joining the Houston office as a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager.
Ogle said of the team’s arrival, “Merrill Lynch is pleased to welcome these experienced advisors and know that they are looking forward to taking advantage of the entire Bank of America platform to serve their clients. Jeremy and Steve have clearly demonstrated success in the marketplace based on the growth of their client base.”
