UBS (UBS) has added new advisors with combined assets of $850 million. Mark Wilkins joined from Merrill Lynch (BAC) in St. Louis, where he worked for 21 years and had some $425 million in assets he’s in St. Louis.

In Newtown, Pennsylvania, the Penn Management Group — made up of Drew Barlow, Brian McKeon and Kirk Hasen — joined from Morgan Stanley (MS) in Doylestown, where they had about $270 million in AUM. They report to Clayton Bedford, branch manager, and Ted Durkin, complex director.

Also in Pennsylvania, Emilio “JJ” Valdez moved to UBS in Conshohocken. He will report to Keith Brown, branch manager, and Ted Durkin, complex director; earlier Valdez was with Merrill Lynch, where he had approximately $155 million in assets.

Wells Fargo has welcomed the Baller Financial Group and team members David and Wayne Baller to its new Dayton, Ohio office, which is led by Jamie Phillips, Dayton complex manager. The father and son team come from UBS, where they managed about $300 million in combined client assets.

Meanwhile, Debra Briskin, formerly with UBS, has joined Merrill Lynch in Stamford, Connecticut. Briskin, who began her career in 1984 at Merrill Lynch, will report to Katie Flaherty, market executive.

Hybrid broker-dealer and investment advisor firm HighTower Advisors says it has welcomed Legacy Wealth Group. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based team previously managed close to $600 million in assets.

Earlier, managing partners William Van Dresser and Elden LeGaux were executive vice presidents and managing directors of wealth management at Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust of Coral Gables. The third managing partner, Eugene Frankel, was an investment manager at Digital Sky Technologies.

Landmark Bank-affiliate Landmark Investments says it will now provide services to its clients through Raymond James (RJF). The investment services team, led by Douglas Moore, executive vice president and wealth management director, was affiliated with Cetera Investment Services for more than 18 years.

The team includes eight financial advisors: DeAnn Peter, Jackie Shupe and Joe Cricchio in Columbia and Miles James in Houston, Missouri; Leah Anne Brooks in Durant and Erik Handcock in Ada, Oklahoma; and Dave Reed in Denison and Jason Fox in Gainesville, Texas. Collectively, they manage about $450 million in client assets and produce about $2.6 million in annual fees & commissions.

Commonwealth Financial Network announced that Pickler Wealth Advisors is now affiliated with the independent broker-dealer in Collierville, Tennessee. Pickler’s founder David Pickler, partner Teresa Bailey and their team bring with them $250 million in client assets. They previously were affiliated with LPL Financial (LPLA).

SagePoint Financial, one of the AIG Advisor Group broker-dealers, has welcomed Charles R. Green and his firm Charles R. Green & Associates to its network in Fort Worth, Texas. Green’s team was previously associated with First Western Securities and has some $240 million in client assets.

Troy, Michigan-based Sawchuk & Langenstein Wealth Strategies has joined Cetera Financial Group’s First Allied Securities, an independent broker-dealer and RIA. Led by Terry Sawchuk and William Langenstein, the firm had $132 million in client AUM as of June 30.

Soltis Investment Advisors, which manages or advises on more than $1.5 billion in client assets, has announced the opening of a new office in Salt Lake City, Utah. The new office will have four advisors and two staff members.

Focus Financial Partners has announced four mergers on behalf of three firms in its partner network: Buckingham Asset Management, JFS Wealth Advisors and Summit Financial Wealth Advisors.

Buckingham has added Connie Brezik, based in Casper, Wyoming, and has also completed a merger in which it will serve the clients of Zerke Advisors in Houston. JFS, in Pennsylvania, has added Comprehensive Investment Solutions. And in Louisiana, Summit brought on FPL Asset Management.
