New Hire Roundup: McGinness Joins Envestnet as Managing Director

This week in personnel announcements and new hires, iCapital announced the hiring of Michael Mastey and Melissa Iagulli; Core Compliance & Legal Services welcomed Jarod Winters; and Wisdom Tree appointed David Yates and Alisa Maute.

Also, Envestnet added Matthew McGinness; Charles Nelson joined Voya Financial; and Behringer announced leadership changes.

McGinness Joins Envestnet

Envestnet, Inc. has announced that Matthew McGinness has joined as managing director of strategic consulting for enterprises.

McGinness was previously CEO of First Allied Advisory Services. Earlier, he was managing principal of Best Practice Research; before that he worked at LPL Financial and at Cerulli Associates.

Mastey, Iagulli Join iCapital

iCapital Network has announced that Michael Mastey has joined as senior vice president, investor network, with responsibility for the mid-Atlantic and southeast regions, and Melissa Iagulli has joined as SVP, investor network, covering the West Coast.

With more than 30 years of experience, Mastey joins from PNC Capital Advisors. Earlier, he held positions at Bear Stearns; before that, he also worked at Rydex Investments and Fidelity Investments Institutional Services.

Iagulli joins from Charles Schwab & Co. Earlier, she held positions at investment management and wealth management firms including FLAG Capital and Hall Capital.

Core Compliance Adds Winters

Core Compliance & Legal Services Inc. has announced that Jarod Winters has joined as the firm’s chief operations officer. He succeeds Marsha Harmon.

With more than 20 years of capital markets experience, Winters joins from Wells Fargo Prime Services in New York.

WisdomTree Names Yates, Maute

WisdomTree Investments Inc. has announced the appointment of David Yates as chief information officer, a newly created position, and Alisa Maute as head of U.S. sales.

Yates joins from McKinsey & Co. Previously he was at Accenture and at the Bank of England.

Maute, who joined in 2008, was previously a regional director. Before joining, she worked at Van Kampen Investments; she began her career at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

Voya Financial Welcomes Nelson

Voya Financial has announced that Charles Nelson has joined as CEO of retirement. He will report to Alain Karaoglan, COO, and join the firm’s executive committee.

Nelson was previously president of retirement services for Great-West and led the legacy retirement business of Great-West in Empower Retirement.

Behringer Announces Leadership Changes

Investment firm Behringer has announced that Robert Aisner will transition from his position as CEO and president of Behringer Harvard Holdings LLC to become chairman at the end of the first quarter of 2016.

He will be succeeded immediately as president by Michael Cohen, who will assume the position of CEO in 2016.
