Bank of America-Merrill Lynch (BAC) said Tuesday that it hired a former Morgan Stanley (MS) manager Michael Casey to lead its Nevada/Boise wealth management complex.
Casey, who was with Merrill from 1987 to 2009, will “manage a region that has seen a steady growth of individuals and businesses seeking comprehensive wealth management and investment services,” the firm says in a press release.
He most recently served as a branch manager in Tucson, Arizona, and earlier was a manager in Rancho Bernardo, California, and a branch manager in Laguna Niguel, California. According to his FINRA records, he left Merrill Lynch to join Wells Fargo (WFC) for about six months and then moved to Morgan Stanley, where he worked for the past five years.
“We are excited to have a proven leader such as Michael join us in continuing our success in the Nevada/Boise area,” said Tom Fickinger, market executive for the Pacific Northwest region, in a statement. “He has demonstrated expertise in leading large teams of wealth management professionals, and we look forward to his contributions to the company in his new role.”
