Maurice Taylor, the head of U.S. tire manufacturer Titan International, in France to examine the possibility of taking over a money-losing Goodyear plant, flat-out refused the idea. He referred to the French unions as “crazy” and said the workers talk just as much as they work. While being anti-union is currently fashionable in many parts of the U.S., Taylor may have a strong point here.
