National Underwriter Life & Health magazine and two sister news organizations have won National Azbee Awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE).
ASBPE, Wheaton, Ill., a professional association for editors and writers in the business, trade and specialty press, presented the awards earlier this month at the ASBPE National Editorial Conference in Chicago.
National Underwriter Life & Health, a print trade journal published by the Life & Health Insurance Network at Summit Business Media, New York, won the Silver Award for Best Feature Series for a report on the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Kansas City, Mo., that appeared in the Nov. 22, 2010, issue.
Senior Market Advisor, another Summit Business Media Life & Health Insurance Network news organization, won the Bronze prize for Best Web Feature Article for following father-daughter financial superheroes in “A Day In The Life.” The article appeared in the November 2010 print issue and online at SeniorMarketAdvisor.com.
PropertyCasualty360.com, a Summit Business Media property-casualty insurance news website, won the Gold Award for Best New or Relaunched Website.
James E. Green, the group editorial director for the Summit Business Media Life & Health Insurance Network, says in a statement that winning an Azbee is a career highlight for a business-to-business editor.
“The fact that three of our brands have won national awards testifies to the editorial talent we have throughout the company and the quality work we’re doing,” Green says.
