Washington Wealth Management has hired John Simmons as its new president.
In his new role, Simmons will oversee the firm’s existing branches and lead the expansion of its independent network of financial advisors. He will be based in California, establishing a West Coast presence for the firm.
Simmons, a 24-year industry veteran, has extensive experience establishing new branches and leading regional expansion for companies such as Prudential, Wachovia and Merrill Lynch. Prior to joining Washington Wealth Management, he was managing director and regional director for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, overseeing operations in Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii.
“I am very excited that John has come aboard to help lead the firm during this exciting time of rapid expansion,” says Tony Sirianni, CEO and founder of Washington Wealth Management. “He is going to play a critical role in the firm’s expansion, and his deep knowledge and experience will be a great resource for guiding our advisors on a day-to-day basis, giving them the support they need as they deliver what we think is the best approach to wealth management in the industry today.”
