Personnel Changes: Nationwide, MassMutual, Towers Watson, Others

Nationwide Financial Services Inc., Columbus, Ohio, has named Doug Allen, Bob Eviston, Tim Stephens, Christine Travis, and Jennifer M. Turkos to be new wholesalers in the life insurance, annuities and retirement plans businesses.

Allen previously worked at Genworth, Richmond, Va. He will now lead the Louisiana and Mississippi territory as regional vice president.

Eviston previously was program director at Nationwide for the past eight years. He will now serve as vice president for the New Mexico and Arizona territory.

Stephens will be the regional sales director for the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kansas region.

Travis previously worked for Smith Insurance Services, Columbus, Ohio. At Nationwide she will be regional life consultant in Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Southern New Jersey region.

Turkos previously worked for ING, Windsor, Conn. At Nationwide she will be the regional vice president for the Eastern Pennsylvania territory supporting annuity sales in the independent broker/dealer channel.

MassMutual Retirement Services Division, Springfield, Mass., has hired Jeffery Keller to be managing director for the southeast region.

Keller previously was managing director and head of defined contribution investment at New York Life, N.Y.

Towers Watson, N.Y., has hired Helen Mills to be account director for its New York metropolitan area, Washington D.C., and areas across the east division effective April 18,2011.

Prior to her new role, Mills spent the last 15 years at Aon Hewitt, LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill.

Aviva USA, Des Moines, Iowa has promoted Joseph W. Wittrock to be chief investment officer.

Wittrock is currently head of research for Aviva Investors North America.

Wittrock has a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking from Buena Vista University and a master’s degree from the University of Chicago. He holds the charted financial analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Iowa.

GenSpring Family Offices, Palm Beach, Fla., has hired Jean Brunel to be chief investment officer.

Brunel is currently the editor of the Journal of Wealth Management.

Brunel has a bachelor’s degree from Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in France and a master’s degree from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Transamerica Worksite Marketing, Little Rock, Ark., has hired Brad Ridnour to be senior vice president and national sales director, effective immediately.

Ridnour will report directly to company President Randy Clarkson.

Executive search firm Russell Reynolds Associates Inc., N.Y., has hired Francois Kouroriez to be executive director of its Boston office.

Kouroriez previously was senior vice president of services at Genworth Financial Inc., Richmond, Va.

Kouroriez has a bachelor’s degree in political science and international finance from Boston University.
