Jerry Carnahan has been named president and CEO of Farmers New World Life.
Carnahan was previously executive vice president of field operations for Farmers, a position he had held since 2005. He has worked for Farmers for 32 years, holding a variety of claims, marketing, sales and executive management positions within the company.
“Jerry has made numerous contributions to Farmers Insurance and to the insurance industry throughout his 32-year career with Farmers,” said David Dietz, CEO of Zurich Global Life in North America. “We look forward to Jerry leading the team and growing life sales through Farmers’ agents and their customers.”
Carnahan will relocate to Farmers New World Life headquarters in Mercer Island, Wash., for the position. He succeeds Tom White, who has been named Japan CEO for General Insurance for Zurich Financial Services and will be relocating to Zurich’s offices in Tokyo.
