Workers are trying to do more to plan for retirement.

Some recent surveys have found that Americans report saving less, but Financial Finesse Inc., El Segundo, Calif., says it has concrete evidence of an increase in interest in saving.

Financial Finesse, a workplace financial education firm, says its financial helpline has been getting more calls about long-range planning issues and fewer calls about crisis management.

The percentage of calls dealing with retirement planning increased to 24% in 2010, from 15% in 2009.

The percentage of calls focusing on debt fell to 16%, from 21%, and the percentage relating to cash management fell to 14%, from 17%.
