Ben-e-lect is working with GroupLink Inc. to sell a new insured dental plan in Colorado.
The plan developers have held down plan costs by using a high deductible and a design that permits employers to share a portion of the deductible with employees, according to Ben-e-lect, Colorado Springs, Colo., a benefit plan administrator.
GroupLink, a unit of Independence Holding Company, Stamford, Conn., is helping to run the plan, and another IHC unit, Madison Life Insurance Company, is providing the insurance, Ben-e-lect says.
The plan is a stand-alone plan that does not have to be bundled with medical coverage, and rates for single employees can be as low as $14 per month, Ben-e-lect says.
Ben-e-lect will provide quotes for groups of 2 to 100 through the Web and for groups of more than 100 manually.
Ben-e-lect is selling plan through authorized agents and brokers.
