March 10, 2005 — Standard & Poor’s and BusinessWeek announced the winners of its third annual Excellence in Fund Management Awards.
Nine mutual fund managers or management teams were recognized as their funds were evaluated according to wide-ranging criteria, including the experience of the management team, an ability to adhere to stated style objectives while shunning excessive turnover, and an ability to produce returns that justify operating expenses, among others.
Nine previous winners were also acknowledged for their continued ability to demonstrate strong levels of leadership at their funds over the past five years.
