Sun Life Financial U.S., Wellesley Hills, Mass., has set up a program to help producers advise clients who want to do well by doing good.[@@]

The new charitable giving planning program includes charitable giving producer guides, client brochures that talk about use of charitable giving in estate planning, and sales and prospecting tools.

The materials are available in print form and electronic form.

In 2002, Sun Life Financial U.S. introduced a charitable giving benefit rider that provides a benefit equal to 1% of the policy’s face amount, up to a maximum benefit of $100,000, payable to the charity of the policyowner’s choice.

Sun Life Financial U.S. is a unit of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto.
