NU Online News Service, Oct. 30, 2003, 10:33 a.m. EST – The U.S. group insurance division of Sun Life Financial Inc., Toronto, added an automated disability claim status information service to its Web site and its customer service telephone line in September.

The service gives information about claims status and benefit payments to members of group disability plans and the employers that sponsor the plans.

Many visitors to the Web site are using the service, and one-quarter of the callers to the customer service line are using the telephone-based version of the service, Sun Life says.
