Paul Justice, CFA is director of passive fund research, North America for Morningstar, In this role, he is responsible for leading the firm’s research of North American passive investment strategies. Prior to assuming his current role in 2012, Justice was director of North American ETF research.

Justice has more than a decade of experience in financial analysis. Prior to joining the ETF team, Justice was a senior equity analyst and team leader, covering the utility and merchant generation industries. Before joining Morningstar in October 2004, he was a credit analyst at Merrill Lynch for four years.

Justice holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in finance from DePaul University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Marie joined the ETF Group as Head of Sales and Servicing in June 2011. Marie is responsible for establishing Northern Trust’s presence in the ETF market by developing and executing a sales plan, recruiting and retaining talented sales professionals, as well as developing significant relationships across important industry channels.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Marie was a Principal and Eastern U.S. Manager for iShares at Blackrock. She was Vice President and Eastern U.S. Sales Manager for JPMorgan Asset Management, where she managed multiple channel and product lines to grow the intermediary business. Prior to that Marie held various roles over approximately 12 years at Smith Barney, including securities lending/trading, product development, product sales and branch management.

Marie is a graduate of The Catholic University of America with a B.A. in Political Theory and Economics, Stanford University Executive Education Program and Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education Program. She obtained her Certified Investment Management AnalystSM (CIMA®) designation, administered by the Investment Management Consultants AssociationSM (IMCA) and taught in conjunction with the University of California, Berkeley. She is a member of IMCA and holds her FINRA Series 7, 24 and 66 Licenses.
